The Light to My Path

Recently my cousin and I were talking about the times in life when we’re acutely aware of the fact that we don’t know what’s going to happen next. She said, “You know how God says His word is a light to our path? It makes me think of that little circle of light on the ground when you’re walking at night, and how you can’t see much beyond it.”

I know about that circle of light because I love taking walks at night with a flashlight.

God gives us what we need for each step because unlike our own, His view is complete.

This week, when you feel tempted to worry or to dread the unknown steps before you, think of that circle of light on the ground. Remember that God is the one who lights each step and that He will not leave you alone in the dark.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

~Psalm 119:105
