Encouragement From Narnia (More from Chapter 2 of The Silver Chair, by C.S. Lewis)

“Here on the mountain, the air is clear; as you drop down into Narnia, the air will thicken. Take great care that it does not confuse your mind. And the signs you have learned will not look at all as you expect them to look, when you meet them there. That is why it is so important to know them by heart and pay no attention to appearances. Remember the signs and believe the signs. Nothing else matters.” ~ Chapter 2, The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis

When I get turned around, scripture reorients me. So does worship. Often I’ll go for a walk and look up at the tree tops and clouds and remember how small everything is compared to the greatness of God. From that place of perspective, I thank Him for everything I can think of, but especially for who He is. My thoughts become less muddled and peace returns.

“I will run the course of Your commandments, For You shall enlarge my heart.” ~ Psalm 119:32

“For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.” ~ Psalm 36:9

“When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul.” ~ Psalm 94:19

Blessings to you,
